Scholarship Application for Miami Dade County Students of Graduation Class 2025

3. College Acceptance Letter 

(from the college or university you will be attending in Fall 2025)

4. Personal Essay – this can be the one used for the Common Application

Application Deadline:    Friday, May 9th, 2025

All Scholarship Applications must be submitted via email, as follows;

For all Miami Beach Senior High School Students, please submit the entire application (#1– #4 as above) to CAP ADVISOR, Mr. Kenny Cabrera – EMAIL: kcabrera16@dadeschools.net / Tel: 305-343-7782 Ext 2005

For all North Miami Beach Senior High School Students, please submit the enire application (#1– #4 as above) to CAP ADVISOR, Ms. Astwood – EMAIL: Astwood@dadeschools.net  / 305-949-9381 Ext 2255

For all Miami Dade County High School Students (non-MBSH and NMBSH students) - please submit the entire application (#1-#4, as above) to friedlandpenelope@gmail.com / Penelope Tel: 305-495-4901 or Jane Tel: 305-949-8381

NOTE* All applications MUST include the entire package, this includes: NBV Optimist Club Application, unofficial school transcript, college acceptance letter and personal essay – they must be submitted together as a package.

Please note, all Finalists will be required to attend a personal interview. Interviews will be held during the month of May and will take place in North Bay Village.

· Scholarship Winners will be required to attend the College Scholarship Award Ceremony for their Scholarship Checks presentation, at the North Bay Village Commission Meeting, to be held on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025 in City Hall at 6pm, located at 1666 Kennedy Causeway (79th Street), next to Osteria Del Teatro restaurant, Suite 101, North Bay Village, FL 33141.
